    recession busting news years reseloution

got sick of been over charged here and there in the shops for items ie like a packet of ham for 1.99 go to the counter and its 2.50
so i said to myself anyone who overcharges me, il look for the difference back
turns out must shops give all your money back and let ya keep the item like tesco for instance
ive saved about one hundred euro this month aslone
just hate to think how much ive given shops over the years

In England and Wales (don't know if this act appliees to other paarts of the union) the Consumer Protection Act 1987 states that a retailer must sell you the product at the price advertised. So if you see a bargain that's too good to be true, take a photo with your phone and demand that they sell it you at that price when you're overcharged. They have no choice but to do it. If they don't report it to trading standards and they'll get bollocked. You gottaa get the photo though as they will remove the offending price immediately.

At the Euro money changeover I bought a pair of shoes which had three price stickers inside. One sticker for the old money price, one for the new money price and one with the new price hiked up by ten euros. I got the shoes at the cheaper price. By the way, the shop owner is a pillar of society.

A regular trick by my local co-op is to advertise an item at 1/2 price , or 2 for 1 and when you get to the shelf (even on the opening day of the offer) , it's empty .
Go back a day or 2 later and the shelf's fully stocked , but has no price marking whatsoever , pick up 2 , get charged for 2 ,or 1/2 price becomes full price at the checkout , i've even been stung when they're still displaying the offer banners , but the actual shelf has no price marker .
I've come to the conclusion , after being stung so often , they're just con -artists and i'm very wary what i buy in there now , but how much have they conned from the unwary ??

          Worse than bollocked.
          ?2k per missled customer.
Hence the reason where i work we sell at advertised and subsidise the consimer with a gift card as a bonus (its only ?2 and makes sure the customer returns to spend more money so it works in our favour in the end, like keeping a gambler at the table so to speak)

Worse still is date coding, if somethings in your basket thats out of date then the shop can get into some right trouble from both trading standards AND environmental health.

me nanna's always done this ever since i can remember she always checks her reciepts and takes back anything she was over charged for mo matter what it is and how much it was

every week somewhere she manages to find something she has been over charged for

makes you think how much you have been conned out of but like myself most people are too embarrased to take something back when it only amounts to a ?1 or something

as i have noticed myself stuff when i got home that was say supposed to be BOGOFF and when home you realise you were charged twice but us younger generation just cant be ar*ed to do it in general
