Why do so many drivers feel the need to use foglights in well lit areas and in broad daylight??? If they're that blind they shouldn't be on the road.
Where I live 20-30% of drivers use them when they're not needed. I'll bet the taxi driver who was recently fined also had his headlights on which defeats the purpose.
"See and be seen" is all very well but if you blind other drivers they can see nothing. Also, the number of people who use foglights and headlights obviously don't realise the danger they pose. Given the right conditions (any main street in any town) they can have a strobe effect so anyone in an oncoming car can experience siezures or headaches. Anyone who suffers from any photo-sensitive condition will know what I mean.
Try turning the lights off. You'll be surprised how much more you can see, and not be blinding anyone coming towards you! You never know, they might hit you!!
