If each customer spend on average ?100 that is 54 *10^7 customers.

1p each = ?5 million

Thats the whole reason I'd ask for it back, more often than not if I'm only due a penny or a few p's change I'd also say stick it in the charity tin, but I make sure that it's my choice that I dont take it, if the choice is taken away from me then I would always ask for it back.

i would ask for it too..
My indian take away i have to say is really good he always rounds my order down for me so if its ?10..60 he will just say a tenner he never charges me the pennies which is great .. i must owe him a good few quid haha
