whats the best antivirus out there, and why, iv used ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for a while now and cannot fault it ,so what do you use and why

avast for me to, and theres a new free version oot, got a pop up telling me my license is due to run oot, so dowloading it now, just installed it and i got the womans voice now when database has updated
avast takes ages when u doing a scan and im talking hours if u got a lot of shite on your hdd, but nowt gets passed it, thats the only draw back ( apart from my 4skin

avast for me by far and i must have tried em all norton,kaspersky,nod32,avira avg and a load more i cant even remember
i find avast to be quality and very effective doesnt slow your pc and best of all its free
the one problem is the scan time is slow but its very thouroughComment

I've been giving Avast Pro 4.8 a try and it gets a thumbs up from me...very good.
I put a thread here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...r-guide-78758/ for using Eset products and turning them into fully working versions.

avira is well up to the job. and is always at the top of the list for detection. a few false positives though. but well worth it for the detection rate. i, also, have to say MS Essentials, does a good job. but seems to slow browsers, not from the MS stable.Comment
