mmmm i loved irn bru n ice cream mixed together, every so often i still do it yet

this is one of my harrowing memories as a child

It started one Sunday morning, I was dressed in my pretty coat and shoes that only ever got an airing on a Sunday and I was on my way to Sunday school and church (half mile difference between them) I threw away a tissue that was in my pocket but I’d forgotten that the money for the collection plate in church was wrapped in the tissue, so when the collection plate came around I just pretended to put money in and quickly passed it onto the next person, hoping that no one would notice

On my way back from the church I went in search of the tissue and lo and behold found it with the money still intact, woohoo I went home happy with a pocketful of sweets, oooo that must have been the badness starting in me at that time

One of my earliest memories still makes me rub the back of my leg...

Teacher slapped back of my leg for not being too nice in class (was about 6 and wearing short trousers). Mum got told so got a hiding off her...leg hurt more than arse as I was always getting a hiding for something or other

A memory that wont leave me is sitting in the bath one Saturday night (calm still summer night )and listening to a trumpeter, to the back of our house, practicing ~Cherry pink and apple blossom white~ before he went off to play at whatever gig he was playing that night.Seeing elephants(and a mountain of their dung) passing our house when the circus came to town. And the Vikings landing on our beach(just kidding).

my most unabideing memories of childhood was when i was given a old second hand pair of football boots once owned by a former free scoring england international, footballer "Dead-Shot" Keen,...then every match i played after i cudnt stop scorin as if the boots were some how magical or even haunted by the spirit of their former owner but when ever i mislaid these boots i reverted to my usuaul crap playin style,,but fortunately i always managed to find them at the last minute or even durin half time sometimes and finish the match scorin a hat full of goals and winnin the match......oh happy days

                    lmao.....

I got a letter home from school asking my mother to make sure i stopped wearing wellies to school, this happened around july, id been wearing them since november

I <3 my frog eyed wellies.

I can remember walking home from school with my shirt off and my tie around my head in a chilly October afternoon, only to be met by an extremely pissed off mum.
I often wonder if Rambos mum kicked his ass quite as severely as mine did that night.

I can also remember getting beaten within an inch of my life off my dad... My brother fell and bust open his face and thought it would be funny to tell the old man we'd been fighting with knives...
Turns out not so much, the old boy still apollogises about it to this day.
Not that i hold a grudge though, ive done plenty of things that would have got my ass kicked had he ever found out, so the balance is more than paid.

One time i was fooling around with matches, and my pissed off old man took me out into the garden, took off his glasses and focused the sun on my forearm, giving me a superficial burn, it sounds worse than it really was if im entirely honest.
Play with fire get burned... lesson learned.
He failed to cover the extra curricular however and stared at me aghast when the next day i showed my brother the trick with a magnifying glass and set fire to the drivers seat of the car whilst speeding down the local bypass

Most of my memories are filled with crazies, catching hell for doing something and then escalating to doing something even worse or more stupid
                      Growing up was awesome!
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
