all channels gone off in nottingham

woke up in the early hours as usual, with the telly still on as usual, and all the channels had gone off, ive never had all the channels go off in one go, scanned and got em back, but surely a bad sign of things to come, especially when they all went at once i usually loose 2 or 3. and the smart card advert is back on.

This is what they did in Leeds. A big frequency shift for all channels which you could remedy with a rescan. A month or two later N3 was phased in over 2/3 days.

We use analogue tv through a freeview set top box and worked great right up until the weekend. We had gone away Saturday night and when we came home.......................no picture, just sound

Have tried new setup and scans etc and have got nowhere, even tried 2 other tv's and still nowt.

Do you reckon this may be the same thing then?

live in the mansfield area, and last night about 1am, my virgin box went off while i was watching itv, was soon going to bed, so sisnt try my starview, but this morning, virgin bk up but starview isnt, will do a rescan once taken daughter to nursery.

Apparently its just an EPG update to add a few new channels, nothing too sinister just yet.....

It's a major re-map of the channels and a change in NetID, probably the long awaited unification of the VM network. A simple reset and re-scan does get all the channels back.

The new CaID has appeared in the stream now, this happened in Leeds about 3 Months before the change there.

Ours are all back now, I turned the lot off at the main today, switched on and they're all there again

My dbox went off ages ago, and I've only really had the basic 1-5 channels, and even they'd gone this morning! Trying to reflash my box tonight

Ive notice that vermin are gradually switching off the channels in a specific order, I believe this is to try and get you to subscribe to their XL package at present Notts has lost the Asian channels most the music, disney, ESPN and now FX and C&I, these are in their XL package so I should imagine the last one to go will be movies and sports which are a extra cost to their XL package, come on Vermin were not that stupid....
