    Interview tips

Anyone got any good realible tips for interviews?
Called back for a 2nd interview this week, thing is I'm meeting 2 out of the same 3 people that interviewed me the first time!
GM i think this time instead of HR person - the way i see it, this time with no HR rep, is they are prob happy enough with that side of it, but I dont want it to sound like a tape recording of my first interview.
Have done loads of research on their products and processes which there was no mention of on 1st interview!
Over 7 months out of work now and dont want to mess it up!
    Any ideas please?
    Whatever!!

look em in the eye, smile, relax. concentrate on the more difficult questions they may ask and prepare for it. for instance, the old 'what-would-you-bring-to-the-company'

      all the best of luck

Here's an useful site for tips. It bills itself as "A collection of resources to help you ace interviews. Includes tips for successfully navigating job interviews, sample interview questions and answers, plus interview practice games that provide immediate feedback online."

Good luck with the interview, hope you get the job mate and even if you are unsucessfull at least you got so far and put it down to experince for next time, the only tip I can think of is dont say your into dogging or sniffing womens underwear on washing lines, as one of your past times, some thing sublime like keeping up with current affairs or some form of sport is more reasonable. Whats the job you going for by the way?

TOM, the fact that you have looked at this company already gives you the edge should you be asked `Why do you want to work here` And Best of Luck M8.

If you have a hard time making strong eye contact then stare at the middle of their foreheads

It looks like your confident enough to square them in the eyes without actualy having to be.

I also do research on the companies people, find out whos interviewing you and try and get into their facebook/bebo/myspace etc and find out what they like, use that to your advantage, if the CEO is into golf, look up recent golf news for instance and angle it into polite conversation

Other than that, its just the usual research into the company, its policies, mission statement, practices and so forth.

Always aim togo into an interview with way more information than you need, you really cant overprepare.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
