I would think the best thing you can do is to talk to your own doctor or phone the doctors surgery and ask them about it. I take it the MUM has agreed to get the test done?

you will have to look into this yourself, (because you need to know about blood).

Do beleive it's Something like brat has to have "this type" or "that type"
of blood otherwise it's not yours. Because you have "XXX" blood

Simple blood test will help, if you are lucky.

For a DNA test you can do it with saliva, finger nail or a hair not only blood if that help!

cheers for replies guys ended up using anglia dna services as they are reputable and used by the courts.Just got the test kit and its a simple mouth swab test. The mam, sounds like she couldnt give a shit but the child in question is 24 and doesn't need mams permissiom. Fingers x'ed I am her dad, as thats what we both want.

best of luck m8, i had a similar thing happen with an ex, she refused to let me see my son ( this is before dna testing ) anyway took her to court for access but she told lies in court so i was denied access, so i told her dont matter how long it takes i will let him know who is dad is, 17 years later was just talking bout this to some 1 in a pub and some one over heard, they came up to me and said i know dean ( my lad ) so i gave him a letter with my number on it and he got in touch , what im trying to say is no matter how long it takes things always come to them who wait, so stick with it m8
