They use rods that confuse the dolphins sonar and disorientate them. They are then caught in nets and can't escape.

I don't want to reply to this thread anymore. Its barbaric what they do to these wild,natural animals and if you look around you can see the videos for yourself.

from what i saw it wasnt a cull but pure murder ,i would push for a total boycott of anything that comes out of japan until they stop raping the seas,once they wipe out every thing on thier own local sea ie the pacific,china sea ,sea of japan ,even the southeast atlantic.they will look towards other areas .they are allready buying up fishing licencies for some european waters,this will be a disaster for fish stocks like mackarell and herring.they dont care what they destroy in the name of scientific research,just a smoke screen for a purely japanease commerce. stop destroying the seas japan.
