Hi Mods
I have bought this box and would like you to add it to the box section. I was told that this is the first Freeview Arial HD box, I have hooked it up and get BBC ITV HD (without a dish), also it will play Photos, MP3 and Xvid in the AVI format media via USB port, I have tested that and it does.
I am trying to setup the box on my home network (ethernet port) at the moment and would appriciate some group support from our site.
1) Has anyone got this box ?
2) Has anyone set this box up on a network ?

I will answer any questions regarding my experiences as we go, I will update as I crack the network streaming.

Appreciate your post, however, The idea of my first post was to offer some actual experience of a member of this forum , namely me, and any other members to offer our experiences having already purchased the box. for instance I have watched a HD film via usb stick, I also looked at that post before I bought and it offers nothing about streaming, is it not better to experience the task rather than point to posts.

Information Update on the Humax fox T2

Hi All
I have done some more work on this box, (Humax Tech was a waste of time, "it's a new box and we have not played with it yet") was thier total input.
HD works fine on BBC, ITV HD and its from the arial, EPG is better and grouping of channels can be achieved.
Using the ethernet cable from the box to the wirless router, I can now watch AVI straight from the PC shared folder via the router, (as it says on the tin), no usb or disc needed. The quality of the AVI is the same as a usb or disc.
This is surely the way forward, AND IT WORKS.
MP3's, Photos etc all work and you can setup slideshows on the T2 that can be can be watched direct from the shared photo folder.
I am now going to try a Buffalo Wireless transmitter instead of the cable. Keep you posted, Open for questions
