    TV and Sony help

I know this is not in the right section but I am hoping for quick reply and after that admin or mod can delete this one. I don't know where to post it. Here is the problem, I have 32" TV and friend gave me PS2 to play little PES with my buds, but when I connected Sony on TV via three cables (yellow, red and white), sound is ok, picture appears but it's black and white
Any ideas what can I do? Thanks

      A few things to try:

      1. Have a look @ the settings, to see if they are both set to either (PAL or NTSC) & not one set to PAL + other on NTSC.

      2. Once the ps2 is connected to tv & showing in black & white, try turning the tv off & back on a few times if nessessary to force the tv to pick up the ps2 on correct settings, (a few people have reported that this seems to work for them).

      3. Try the ps2 in another tv if you can to see if the same.

      4. If you have an (RGB to scart), try that:

Hope you get it sorted m8

The setting you want is (AV) if just using the RGB phono leads, But I always use the RGB to scart adaptor & have the tv on either EXT1, EXT2.

So you suggest to buy, RGB to Scart adaptor?

I have always used the adaptor for all our consols & never had a problem m8, used to keep getting the black & white probs with s/video leads.

If your gonna get an RGB scart adaptor, try to get one with a switch like in the picture, (this will have more pins in use & it enables you to switch the direction of the signal both ways so you can use the adaptor for other uses, the arrow will show you the direction set)

Have you tried the above tests & not worked then? (especially nunber 2)
