    Gran Canaria

    Has anyone been to Gran Canaria recently ? Thinking of going away for a week in May and got a couple of options. Self catering or All inclusve.
    I was there Two years ago but prices have prob gone up a lot since then. I'm wondering if it's worth going self catering. If anyones been, whats the price of eaing out and how much is the beer there now.

    The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

      never been to gran canaria but have been to tenerife 11 times - playa de las americas. bloody love it.

          prices are reosonable, may is a bad time to go though. sort of off season, gets busy last week in june

              My bro is going Gran Canaria this week, or next week. He is going self catering too. Will let you know about prices when he gets back.

                      A while ago, but a nice place. Nowt overawed me, but nice all the same. Lovely family resorts, altho when I went was as two miiddle aged couples. Beaches are long and shallow that I remember, so the kids dont drown. The best thing I remember was buying a bottle of Moet and Chandon Brandy for about ?20... I asked and searched and asked again for this Brandy... never seeing it again until I chanced upon it in Andorra last year.. 15 years later.

                          Well booked an AI. Not far from where i was last time Worked out ?380 each. Not a bad price . Not that we'll be in the hotel all the time. So all in all quiote happy with the price

                              You cant go wrong mate with all inclusive in gran canaria, i done it few years ago and was great, was a 3*+ hotel, was good man, and that was in exactly same time of year as now, weather was good.

                                  we nearly always go all inclusive especially if taking kids it saves an absolute fortune and you dont care if they eat it or not they can get something anytime

                                  its also good for getting tanked before you hit the town i get smashed in the hotel and then when you go out you dont seem to spend as much

                                  only problem with AI is the food can be a bit boring and bland especially after a few days but i think for the price you pay compared to self catering you are quids in

                                  i find the lager 5hite in AI too so I always drink spirits (paintstripper really) and it must be cheaper than the pop cos you get more vodka than you get coke


                                  my advice is to go AI and save a fortune unless you are really fussy or the wife is and you cant drink the home brand drinks cos they sometimes charge extra for the known makes and it can add up
