    traffic lights

going to work i come off the m8 at the st james roundabout. my place of work is around 2 and a half miles from there and there are 19 sets of traffic lights to go through. can anyone beat that?

it takes longer to travel those 2 and a half miles than the 13 i drive before st james!!

Perhaps, you could do a chart, where every day, you leave your drive just as the 8 am new's is on the radio, and just experiment, so for the first 13 miles drive at 25mph and see if you can work out if there is a shorter que at the next set of lights.

Then say 29mph from first lights to second, but write down what you have done.

oops, i don't know what roads you go on, it was just a thought, of adjusting your speed on certain bit's of road to see if it makes it eiaser to get through the traffic.

When in a big bad city, it's 30 MPH all the way.

But surely Meat-her speed will be dictated by the other traffic.

short of time, not necaslary, the tw*t that over takes in his E46 BMW will just be gone in a cloud of dust

But the bloke in front doing 32 MPH stick behind at say 29 MPH and if you are lucky, the time lag is the diffarance it take 'him' to 'change the traffic lights'

When ever in heavy traffic, always creap along and it saves stress, wear on brakes and crutch.

i leave my street onto a set of lights, down to the main road to another set of lights, to a roundabout with 1,2,3,4,5 sets of lights (WTF? roundabouts where invented to get rid of the need for lights) then head towards glasgow where im immediately stopped by another set of lights with a bastard right turn that always clogs the traffic.

It takes me roughly 45 mins to cover 3 miles in the morning and thats before hitting rush hour glasgow Great Western nightmare, then into the center where its all one way lights everywhere with asshole pedestrians.

The worst thing is whilst im sitting idling waiting for traffic im acutely aware im being taxed rotten for the privilidge only to pay out the arse for fuel.

sometimes i feel it would be easier to just stay in bed cuddled up to some rapist gorilla to save the government the trouble of having to give me the shaft.
