    B.T money grabbers

A very long story short..Im currently with B.T (purely for phone)..Im moving house next week,.I rung B.T to do a line test at the new house, and it turns out the new house hasnt got a B.T line.Meaning im going to get charged ?124.99 for the line...etc...I was told by another B.T person last week that there is a way to get installation in new house at ?29.99.(on an 18 month cocntract instead of a 12 month contract)..I was on the verge of getting it for ?29.99 this morning,, UNTIL the B.T person realised that i would be breaking the 12 month contract im currently in, and i would be charged ?75 for cancelling my NOW contract (a 12 month one that doesnt run out til January)...AAAAAAAARRRRRRRR...They totally have us by the short and curlies.Sorry, Rant over...Has anyone else been "conned" by B.T?

As Meat-Head says, you can continue your same contract with your same phone number @ the new house, that way you are not cancelling, only transfering..

But as there is no BT line they might still charge you for the new setup of ?124.99p though, it looks like you just missed out on an offer to waiver that...

You could argee it'd down to their sales team, for

          a) Not telling this to your face

          b) Coning the last house owners into BT

What does BT stand for "Bunch <of> Tw&ats"?
