    Chinese Curry

    Does anybody know a good reciepe for an authentic curry like you get from a chinese takeaway?

    Oakey, there`s a Chinese curry paste recipe in the cookery section, it`s a start, maybe if you look further back through the cookery posts you might find more info. Bon appetite.

          Hi I use “Goldfish Brand Chinese Curry sauce" bought from Chinese wholesale place (open to the public) really nice stuff also available from eBay.

            mayflower curry sauce mix is superb, cost 2 quid out of farmfoods and lasts for ages

              i get mine from the chinese wholesale store but remember to stick to the instructions on the packet one time i didnt and ended up with what i can describe as "SAND"

                most chineses i have seen use a paste that you just add water too i dont think they are very authentic tbh

                this is what or very similar to what most chinese takeaways use

                  Our chippy uses Makway curry paste and just mixes it as on the tub . they make 3 gallons in the morning and keep it on a water heater . They say it's flavour gets better the longer it's been on the heater , so by the time i get mine on the way back from the pub (11.30pm ish) , it's nectar !

                        makaway curry sauce m8 use it all the time, the grankids say its the same as the local chinese, just add water
