    RTE want your imput.

RTE, the Irish national broadcaster, are asking you, the general public, to participate in their preparation for their Public Service Statement which is to be in place for July 2010. On their website at rte.ie you can choose between 3 different types of survey/imputs,short,medium or long. You can also get an insight into the Broadcasting Act opt outs as to how RTE have remained elusive to FTA broadcasting via satellite for so long. If you feel that you have an imput or simply would like to state that they should be FTA then the survey/imput is open to all. You can choose either or all of the surveys on offer. This imput is timely as RTE prepare for their analogue to digital transition and the fact that they are obliged to give its sevices, not only to mainland Ireland, but also to Irish communities abroad.

Flintblock,I wrote to Ryan the minister for communications some time ago and I said that while I understood that I paid a TV license because I had a TV receiver in my house and not because I could get RTE-And because that license money went to RTE-I felt that I was been ripped off if I had to pay sly a subscription to watch what-Iwas already paying for. His reply was a cop about how it would be free to air. (The Wan**r).
