I'm trying to uncover that strange quirk of Mother nature that makes it incredibly difficult to get kids out of bed on a school day yet gets them up at 6.30 or earlier at the weekend, despite going to bed later the night before.

The answer to your problem Hoggy is simple. Put up a Christmas tree then the kids will be up at 3.45am.

just sneak in half hour before you want them to get up and simply pour water onto there bed sheets and they'll soon wake up and you get to look at there guilty little face aww bless
If go to bed between 11pm and midnight can get up ok for work in the morning.
If go to bed like 9pm STRUGGLE to get up for work in morning.
Can get up out of bed 8am on day off for somebody else, but can't get out of bed for own benifit.
Even the though of looking at DK BEFORE work has no effect.
There`s only one answer to your problem Meathead and that`s to go to bed between 11 and midnight as thats the time that suits your body and sleep needs. When I was younger my mother used to say `If you`re not in bed by 12 son.. come home`.

(Sunday - Thursday) night = sleep on regular bed.
(Friday - Saturday) night = sleep on the floor.
Or get surprised new toys for weekend.
Its out of mind ???

purchase 1 border collie pup. Teach it to want out @ 5am, leave the kids bedroom door open & hope the kids dont leave home. Because 5 years later he still rises & wants out @ the same time, regardless of when he went to bed .
