what do you use to download songs?

as above what do you use to download your individual songs?

i used to use limewire but the last version i had every song was fainling as antivirus was detecting virus's in them, i have now just tried frostwire but its crap and hardly finding anything

i only download the odd individual song if i really really like it and i normally pay itunes or hmv for it. either that or post on a forum for it and some nice person posts a link etc. i tend to download compilation cds and take individual tracks from there. is there anything in particular you are looking for krazy?

na nothing inparticular hun, just i used to have a folder on my lappy with all the songs i've downloaded over the years but i've just reformatted lappy and forgot to back that folder up..... doh!!

do you have them on an ipod krazy as you can get them back from there. i have my music copied on netbook and pc. if i download on either i put to a mem stick to transfer to the other. i once lost everything and it was a nightmare.

Still use limewire myself mate. Never get any viruses on single songs. Thats all i use it for though nothing else.

Try downloading the newest pro version from demonoid.

Newsgroups are the best + have everything & sectioned into every category going:

albums
singles
60's, 70's, 80's ect
pop, jaz, chart, ect

The one I like for mixture is "alt.binaries.mp3"

But it depends on who your usenet provider is, as to how many "binary" newgroups they carry, which is the reason you prob can't find much.

I pay a bit extra & go with Easynews @ about ?7 per month & they have them all, with a great search engine to find anything in seconds, so you can just fill your boots.

also still use limewire for individual songs... never have problems with viruses, i think after years of use you get used knowing which are cr@p by there size and formate. have tried others but still prefer limewire.

i have never had a virus from a film or music file and i download nearly every film and cd out

however i have had many from PC programs

u-torrent though it isn't that good for individual tracks. Found it to be free of almost all bugs over the years but watch the torrent sites you add as they are sometimes not as clean as they make out
