hi all- me and by big bro have been thinking about going to the munich beer festival in munich in october this year. i was just wondering if any members have ever been there before and what was their experience of it. also any help with places to stay and cheapest way to get to the festival would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i come from Bavaria so the festival is my second living room :-)...
The best way to stay (cheapest)is the Motel One | Hotels in M?nchen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg , low costs and the way to Oktoberfest ist only 5 minutes long.
Experience, ;-) much trunk people, nice womans with very nice traditional dresses... party , dancing, singing... the best beer festival in the world but attention the germany bavarian beer ist very strong so don't drink over you limit.
have a nice time in Bavaria and take what you can take ;-) -
