In early February of this year a joke appeared in the Comedy Central forum on Colonoscopy and at the time its funny theme helped me to think less of this medical procedure that I was to have, as it suggested that the patient was `knocked out` for the test. Yesterday, armed with this information I attended hospital for this procedure and was firstly taken aback when I said to the nurse `Im having the camera down my throat` to which she replied that I was having it down and up. Because of other medication that I take for Reinauds Disease it was not possible to receive the required amount of anesthetic needed to endure both treatments. Although the treatment was painful at times, including a biopsy and the cauterising of where the biopsy was taken from, it was really fascinating that I could watch the entire procedure on screen(they would`nt give me a recording for Youtube LOL.) and I post this, knowing that, although some of you reading this may already have had this fairly common treatment that some of you may face it in the future. Afterwards I felt as if I had gone one round in the ring with Mohomad Ali but am basck to normal (what ever that is) today.
