Hows this for a good deal

Went into my local Comet shop on Tuesday and saw a Samsung
50inch Plasma tv for ?799.99. Wanted to buy it but not at that price.

Told the sales person I will check the price on the internet as will be cheaper.
He then offer the TV to me for ?699.99 and I said no still too much.

Went back to Comet on Wednesday and spoke to the same sales person, said the same tv is for sale on net for ?699.99 with free delivery so will order it from net. (that was a little lie)

He then offered to reduce the price to ?650.00.

I said I wanted a 5 year extended warranty with the TV so whats the final price he can offer as I will be paying cash and will not be coming back if we can't make a deal today.

He then called the floor manager and after 10 minutes of bartering with him I walked out with a Samsung 50inch Plasma TV, a 5 years extended warranty and a wall mount all for ?500.00!...and as for the TV...WOW, WICKED!!!
SLOWLY, OUR FREEDOM IS BEING ERASED.
SOON, WE WILL JUST BE A NUMBER.
IF WE DON'T FOLLOW, WE WILL BE ERASED.

Few years ago a thick friend of mine, went to one of them places, brought a TV, paid his ?500, took the TV and stand in the boot of his car, paid his money, off he went.

He got home, phone rung, "'ello coont, currys here, we are coming on thurdsay to drop your tv off"

Thursday came, he took the day off work, buy one get one free.

He had to make a stand for the second telly, but no sweat.

Wounder how much they pay for them?

Last year I ordered a 19" tv from argos 'reserve & collect' got to the store, paid for it & was quite surprised when they asked if I wanted to go to the back of the store for someone to help me lift it into the car!!!! I saw the massive box & said I was ok to carry it on my own, then virtually sprinted out of the store with a 32" lcd (for ?129) smiled to myself all the way home & it looks great on my bedroom wall.
