steer well clear of French cars, especially Peugeot. Everyone I know who's had a Peugeot has had problems with it. I had a 206 convertible and it was the worst car I'd ever had. So bad that I sold it again after a month.

Tis a while since I was in the trade but then ya couldnt whack German engineering. They got the hardness of the metals right which, then, saw their cars, Merc. Opel with long engine life. Took the Japs a while to cop on with their recycled metals.

modern cars merc opel peugeot vws are now getting very pricey for repairs with their hiteck oils trying to make their engines last.always find out what problems a model has as it may save you a fortune in repairs, and talking of peugeot is that the car when you get a punture you call for a tow truck because of no spare

If it's a choice of a car made by Adolf or Xavair then go for the one Adolf made.

It's well worth joining the AA just in case you do get an irrepairable puncture. The breakdown companies won't tow you home, instead they'll arragne for a mobile tyre fitter to come out to you. If you're in the AA, the AA will pay the call out charge and you pay for the tyre. If you're in the RAC then you have to pay the call out charge a well. The guy who came to me (at 11pm Saturday night) told me his call out charge was ?185. I was in the AA so I was OK, but if I were in teh RAC I'd have been stung.

If it's defo a convertible you're after, what about the Audi A5, BMW 3 series, Volvo C70, and obviously plenty Mercs to choose from. My sister has just got an M3 convertible and it's mint. Total hairdressers car though, wouldn't catch me dead in it.

Vulva yuck, built by robots with more power than Goeof Capes and superman put together.

M3 Cool E46 open/shut the roof by aftermarket remote control, just extend the lock and unlock pulse, that's cool

I used to have a Boxster, handle fantastic with the mid-engine growls and looked good, built fantastic and dont look dated. only prob is that they can only accommadate 2 people, but I had some fun in it, and if you take what ever car you decide on to a independent service center, and not the rob dog manaufacturers service centre you will save a fortune, usually get a better service as most of these guys who run or own these centres were employed by these manufacturers originally....chuck

Go with the merc coupe for sure. Do a little research so you can really make that "made up tech crap" work a little better in your favor.
