    Don't buy ALDI

Don't buy any electrical goods from Aldi cos you only have 30 days take it back to the store if anything goes wrong. After 30 days you cannot exchange or get refund you have to send it back to the manufacturer.
It has to be said that their goods are shoddy and their guarantee even worse.

I have for 2-3 years bought many computers and electronical devices from Aldi and have never had any problems with waranty's even that the item has been over 30 days old.... So I can only recommend Aldi.....

( ps, I am not employed by Aldi or anyone related )

        payed just under 700 quid
computer broke down in couple of months
after 3 hours of torture speaking to a "tech" in india
i had to return my pc to acer

The word is even if you download a ffidge from currys and it packs up, even if you upload it to the store plug it in their shop(Health and saftey, not PAT tested?) and it's still doesn't get cold, you have to pay for another one then they send that away for 'testing' if it's found to be ok, it's a case of "We have your money now ~~~~ off" oh here is your fridge back

Aldi had a wireless keyboard givven me (hence bad posts a few weeks ago) resoldered the board and put the receiver ON TOP of the unit, works fine

I bought a dvd player from Aldi that went faulty after 18 months. It had a 3 year guarantee. I did have a problem telephoning the repair department, so I went to Aldi store, who sorted it out, and the repair place phoned me, and then sent a replacement.

                        slightly off topic but......

i bought a tom tom sat nav from comet, had it for years
left my charger hanging out door and destroyed usb end
decided to "make" a charger from usb lead and remaining piece of charger.
                        problem- wires were diffrent colours.
solution- just guess which wires go where.
outcome- tom tom "popped" and gave out a little black smoke.

i had heard asda are pretty good with returns policy
i brassed my case and went to asda, told the assistant that i had bought the sat nav from a diffrent branch a few months earlier but unfortunatly i had misplaced my receipt.
i was offered a replacement unit, but would have to wait as they didnt have any in stock. (which didn't surprise me as tom tom had discontinued this model)
sensing that my luck was in, i pushed for a refund.
i was giving 150 quid back, no receipt or ~~~~ all
took my 150 quid and bought a new tom tom go for 95 quid from comet.... result!!

That wasn't the case with the medion computer i bought from aldi's a few years ago. It came with a 3 year warranty, after the first year was up you had to phone medion direct for your repairs, after 2 repairs (both failed) I took the puter back to aldi along with my receipt and got a full refund no problem.

I wouldn't hesitate to use aldi again for anything electrical.
