    if your putting it under the ground your suppsed to use armoured cable directly to your fuse box
    which will cost you a ~~~~in fortune.
    if your just running a fridge from a socket i would just use 13amp 3 core.

      Offically you *MUST* have this cable protected by an rcd.

      BUT lades and gentlemen, boys and girls, what happens when the rcd
      trips?

      Yes that's right the freezer goes off and ~~~~s all your food.

      BIT naughty for the last year i have had across my LARGE garden (think) 4 extenshion leads. As a temparay supply to my garage (have armored cable in the ground, to lasy/ additived to DK to sort it)

      The rcd has only gone off once, that was because one of the exposed extenshion leads slipped off a pile of mud into a waiting bucket of water!

      Try speaking to the Wombles. If you can't go underground go overground, ie over head

        yes meatheads right
        should be protected by rcd or fuse (i would just make sure you put the correct fuse in plug at your house)
        cable should be armoured (incase someone digs up your garden, cuts your cable and gets a shock)- why would anyone be diggin up your garden without your permision??
        ~~~~ them, just put a sign up saying "danger of death- dont be diggin up my ~~~~in garden"
        that should sort it.....
            There was a GENUINE case of that here in Meat-Headshire.
            Guy was digging his garden, the supply to his house was VERY shallow and he hit it with his spade.
            Not being there can't say but the word on the street is he pokeded it a few times with his spade, and he was declared beyond econmical repair by the ambulance crew.
            He should have picked up the phone and called the utility company and called them chunts, who would have then said.
            "Sorry sir it's our cable, but because you get your electricity from somebody else, you will have to call them, to call us for us to subcontract to somebloke who will dig the street up, to make it safe, to leave you without power for a another crew to fix on Tuesday, than a third team will be down on Friday to fill the second hole back in.
            Oh you will have to re-bury the live cable, as we are not able to use other peoples holes.
            Thank you for calling Meat-City Power, have a shitty day"
            Outdoor cable should be protected by a 100ml or ma whatever at this time of day RCD
                  The correct way to do it is break into you 25mm tails after the meter and Henley block in another 2 tails feeding a 40amp swiched fuse, from this with 6mm swa cable make the run to your shed and and fit a 2 way garage consumer or a one way shower consumer with the correct mcb (16a will be ok) then drop a cicuit socket from the the consumer in trunking or plastic conduit, make sure and use waterproof gland packs and get the circuit electical tested......the other option is get a cheap rcd trip unit which plugs straight into a house hold socket (?10 from depot) and a extension lead and if you are burying it run it in some old metal conduit or gas pipe....chuck
