I first flown Ryanair last year with my family and it cut the cost of the holiday by 200 squid going with them. It went like clockwork, no probs...

I went again a few weeks ago... No probs. Although someone who was in the queue did have a problem with an upaid bag, which they had to pay through the nose for, so the morale is, get it right, its cheap, get it wrong its expensive....

They are way cheaper than Easyjet.

My flight to Malloraca cost me ?11 e/w and even with the booking fees and ?30 for the bag it was still cheaper than a standard train ticket from Liverpool to London. So are they really expensive or do we get ripped off by everyone else.

IMO they are just honest and up front about their charges, whereas BA will quote you a price that includes it all. Which is 10x that of ryanair, its down to personal preference and choice. You fly with BA you expect to pay a more pricey air flight, but get all the rest free. Well is it really free if your ticket is 10x more expensive?
