Flexible New Deal: What's it like?

Anybody out there in the UK ended up on the Flexible New Deal, particularly Stage 4 which, I believe, involves workfare? What do you think of the scheme? Any good? Helpful? Useless? Waste of time? Good? Bad? Indifferent? How long were you on it? How many hours a week did you have to attend? If you have been on it did you get a decent job out of it?

What the heck happened to you while on the scheme?
