Ok since you are in such a tight spot I might be able to help you out.
it's not gonna be easy though, No pain, no gain.
I am always willing to support members of the forum in their charity events but I think I speak for myself and the other women of the forum when I say that wecan help you get an edge on that race.
No it's not race fixing or steroids.. it is simply a matter of aerodynamics.. lycra and waxing
decent lycra shorts and shirt and waxed body parts..
legs to start with but I have heard that waxing other parts of the body dramatically helps with the aerodynamics.
To sumarise
I am more than happy to give money to your charity cause but you're gonna have to do some waxing too. video or photo evidence will be required before payment is given.
If you need any advice on the best method of waxing, please feel free to ask myslf, Berley, Eva or father as we have previous experience in this field.

Ah you're a good lad Red. I knew you would see sense in the end and opt for the complete waxing and don't forget the lycra shorts and nipple plasters
Good luck!!

I done the GNR 4 years ago. Its a great day and good experience and managed to raise over a grand for the Bobby Moore Fund.
I used to live in South Shields for a couple of years so knew the roads well. So a few words of advice....
Firstly, dont get carried away and go off too fast, you really will pay for it later in the run.
Secondly, at around 7 miles you chuck a right on the roundabout and start to run up the john reid road for approx. 4 miles or so. This section is a steady incline and really takes it toll (well it did for me)
once you have completed this section its a sharp downhill run til you turn left onto the sea front, from here its about a mile to the finish along the coast road. as you hit the finish line the bamburgh pub is on the left where you can go for a well deserved pint!
good luckComment
