Hi all does anyone know what could be wrong with my stilh saw ts400. Today the pull cord stayed out and won't recoil back in. Would i be able to fix this myself, any help would be great.

chances are the spring has snapped.
wear safty glass when you play as they are nasty.
look at ebay for repair kits

Pretty much as Meaty said. It will be held on by 4 screws/bolts under the housing & a replacement will just bolt on.
