    ant control

Hi all, got a problem with ants. I'm doing a lot of work around the house and keep on destroying nests but then they just pop up elsewhere including inside the house now. I think there in the cavity and foundations so does anyone know the best treatment for them thanks.

get an old (or new) microwave oven with a mechnical timer, kick the door off, turn on to full, defeat the safty inter locks , place front down over ants nest, extenshion lead, turn on and run.

          no more ants

Meat-Head, I`m moving your post to the recipe section.
Seriously though, Donka I`ve used the nippon spray as mentioned above and works well providing you chech after a day or so and then spray more.

I started to draw up plans many years ago for a hand held magnatron. My sick little mind wanted to be able to cook people at 20 yards.

Fitting it to the back of my car was also a viable option. Nice sticker on my rear window.. "Tailgaters will be boiled alive". Little would they know.... ha, ha, haaaaa

if you can get water around the area with out damaging the house, foundations etc the flood them out with a hose! thats what i've done, if you get enough water to the area the eggs float to the top of the water! Thousands of them when i done it, the sparrows had a feast!

you can buy these ant foods at homebase or other DIY stores.

The ants enter this small food chamber and carry the food to the queen, the food destroys the queen and nest.

make sure there is no other food source where you put these down.

You have to kill the queen or they will keep coming back.

Had an outburst of the flying ones today, due to the heat on the patio. Guess they must be hatching.

Flooded the area with water, which worked for half an hour, till it all evaporated.

Then resorted to the flip flop method. But without the suit.
