anyone know how much it is to get divorced?

me and the missus have decided to go our seperate ways, been together for 12 years and married for 3 years on 7th august, i dont want anything as i'll leave it all for the kids if that makes a difference?

        FFs i didnt expect this.

Hope everything works out ok m8, i dont have a clue about the costs, sure it will be very little ( maybe admin costs to make a certificate ) as your leaving everything then no need for a solicitor.

Next thing will be a fight for you to see the kids and maintenance for the kids.

ive been with the missus 27 years and kids are in their own house now.. They say the first 20 years are the hardest then it gets easier, maybe there is some truth in that from my experience..

        good luck mate.

P.S. if you get stuck their is always Dibbers place..

i hope the kids are ok m8, thats your priority. I know you`ve been working away and maybe it wont be as hard for them, so might be a good time for it ( thats if ever there is a good time ).

if she is on benefits its free if she divorces you all you have to do is agree when the paperwork comes

obviously it has to be a mutual thing and she has to go and see a solicitor first which could be tricky if she doesnt want a divorce

make sure you do a "clean break form" it saves you both from taking any more finances off each other later in life eg if either of you win the lottery in lets say 10 year after divorce either of you can claim some of the winnings off the one who won.
                          believe me it does happen!!!!!

it cost me ?340 for divorse package.....then you have to add on any more solicitors costs letters phone calls ect. this is a fixed fee divorce. ask your solicitor if they do this the price for fixed price divorce can vary.

Depends on if your split is amicable or not. Everything is split 50/50 but if it turns nasty the fees for soliciters are disgusting. My brother ended up paying nearly 35 thousand for his divorce by the time it came to court. Good luck I hope everything works out ok for you .
