yeh you got shelf @ bottom more or less on floor & 1 on top so that gives you 3 shelves @ 3ft so 1ft space in between

About 6ft red, i got 5 tier metal 1s in garage and they are 6ft

The review on BnQ said it seems to be the same shelves as listed in argos or very similar. so yeah basically they are for dwarves
