I am relieved to hear that there is maintenance taking place. I hope that helps with all the duplicate posts about how to deal with “X” problem. Whenever I read a thread, I notice a ton of people that just throw up another post about the same problem that has been fixed since the third page. This just adds to confusion like the whole 25 posts thing that started in this thread.

Is hard to see if some new people they want to help or not.Maybe they didn't have the time, because the garage was closed soon after they joined the forum.
Anyway, is a private forum so I guess the admin can do whatever he wants.

Take a look at your join date, like so many over past few days.... nothing to say till they can't get what they want.

Ok fair enough, i did post some useful information in a few threads though so it seems a shame to delete it all.

Useful posts maybe, but made for one reason only... to try gain access, hopefully you'll remake the same posts over a longer space of time and who knows what will happen, or maybe you should have made those posts a while ago? As has been said this is a forum where we all help each other not just ask and take.

Hi guys, I never looked at the download section before now. I did notice the is no truck or machine software there, can I up load the soft i got to that so if a link some where dies people can still get it?

You can't upload to DK, but you can upload to various filehost sites and post in the relevent section.

First of all I'll apologise for the questions I was asking, didn't read this section first.

Secondly I can see why this has happened as I'm a perfect example. Found people like myself that were looking for ETKA updates and didn't really look at any other sections.

It takes something like certain forums being closed to make you look further afield. As a result I've changed my settings and removed the sections I won't have any interest in so looking through is less daunting. I'll be a better contributor because of the garage forum being temporarily closed and I bet others will too.

With regards to car related questions there are quite a few dedicated enthusiast sites so I would have though you would probably be better off asking on there for specific model questions/problems

yes the temporary closure of the garage section is due to the worthless posts that have clogged the section that sent people looking for a needle in a haystack. What a brilliat idea sifting all the rubbish so that it makes it easier for us......................

Yes but it also doesn't help when members try to have conversations in the wrong threads just so they can boost there post count.... it's very obvious when members from the last few months all of a sudden in the last few days suddenly have an urge to post anywhere they can every 2 minutes, it's also very easy to select those posts and remove them.... even easier to just ban repeat offenders. We are not singling out anyone in particular, these are just observations from the last few days, luckily many of you are still here, for the others not so lucky.... well I am sure they feel very stupid right now.

The changes don't just affect newcomers it affects everyone, as the days, weeks, months go by a lot of people will suddenly wake up, the result....... an even better DK
