    guys any electrician,s here ???

    guys need some help please need to replace an electronic ballast on a lighting unit ok the old ballast
    has 8 terminals (wires) and the and the new one has 7 terminals so need to know what why this works

    on the new one # 2 and 7 joined together only.
    #3 - 1
    #4 - 2
    #1 - 3
    #5 - 5
    #6 - 6
    #8 - 7

    note # 4 on old one is not used

    first # are on the new one..

      you have to change the wiring like it shows on right side of new ballast

          oh sorry I have the pics reversed, so the wiring will be different, do u have a pic of the bulbs connection?

            yes it is #4 on the new one not used, you will be using six (6) wires and #2 and #7 will be together on the bulb side. the numbers # are for the old one, sorry.

                7-8 wire ballasts

                if ya really strugglin with the 7 wire thing let me know and ill send you a brand new 8 wire jobby with a basic wiring diagram.
                postage charge only.
                ill need to know the wattage though is it a 58w twin or 70w.
                i take it you want high frequency?

                      follow the wiring diagram on the ballast and use a connecter block to join the wire that links the lamps
                      cant tell what the numbers are from the pic but as you look at it they are the top and bottom wires(joint these)
