admin is putting a lot of time and effort into the changes in the garage forum which is for the better for every one and the forum in general, when the changes and maintenance in the garage forum are finished, the mods and the rest of us regulars who care about the future of DK will be keeping a very close eye on what is posted/downloaded etc.

I hope your right about the changes being better for every one and the forum in general, as this is a very good & informative site. I can see people maybe going elsewhere (if there was another site anywhere near half as good as this one!). All the best one's I've found since being ex-communicated from the garage section are in polish! Which makes them good for software but without the information on how to use them from other English speaking people, makes it a difficult long winded google affair! -

garage section my two bobs worth
i might not post a lot on dk but found this section very good
opinions, downloads, e.c.t. shame some peepole took the piss sometimes things need to change on forums from my experiance (lots of other forums) so u shouldnt worry about it just go with it and adapt to what is here at any given timeComment

Put it this way, i found DK by accident, followed a certain thread for months, didn't go anywhere except this one thraed, i leeched and leeched
as much as i could (rapidshare links)
Then one day a problem was found, this was sorted by a file, only members, could download, so had to regestar, now less than a year later
, been banned and boll**cked by admin SEVERAL times, i'm still here

The reason I came to this forum was the garage. With this section made unaccessible to me, the only option I have on DK is to pollute the "general chat" with my political-incorrect opinion.
That's not a good forum for me, when I want to do smalltalk I'd find myself a chatroom!
So; Anyone knows a forum to chat about car-techniques?

I've been trying to avoid being pulled into this.
People need to learn how to read all the posts in a thread, especially the stickies (listed in red). All the information needed to understand what is happening is in there, waiting for you to read it.
The reason there are people in the Garage section is simple. Not everyone is barred. A level of participation was agreed upon by Admin & Mods. Those people below that level were restricted access.
Although some may see this as unfair, the decision was made. A community only exists if all give what they can. A lot of hard work is put into every thread in every section. To protect that hard work restrictions have been applied. This isn't stopping the effected people from contributing to other sections.
All those individuals that seem to have crawled out of the woodwork since the restriction should be more constructive. We all know how much you need access, but until you start to join in with the rest of us...nothing will change.
So, stop complaining & posting useless oaths to share more. Participate, join in, have fun... Things may change, but life will always move on.Canker
