Ginger Beer! - its OK, aquired taste i agree.... BUT it does vary alot.... personaly i prefer Sainsburys own..... not keen on the old Jamaica one! - bit yuck... Sainsburys ones a bit sweeter! (and cheaper!)

I ain't ginger, but I do like the stuff. Not so much the Jamacan special that Asda has, but the normal ginger beer is ok.

The ginger ale is my favorite, I prefer the dry taste to the over sweet ginger beer.

One thing's for certain... It's a whole world better than Root Beer... ~~~~er tastes like TCP...

not sure i dont mind one of em ginger ale or beer i can never remember which it is but one is nice and one is awful burns your throat and gives a stinking aftertaste

Bundaberg Ginger Beer made in Queensland, Oz. I always down a bottle after a hard days croc wrestling!
I reckon root beer should probably use horses in their ads too.

Are you sure it was Ginger Beer? The Americans tend to drink Ginger Ale which is very different.

It's ok as a mixer, but pretty unpleasant to drink.

I hadn't drunk ginger beer since I was a youngster. We use to bye it at the boy scouts tuck-shop on Friday nights, a shilling for the scout subs, 3 pence for crisps and 7 pence for Ginger beer, this was in the early 60's. I had a few bottles of the alcoholic ginger beer given last week, I have to admit it went down a treat and brought all the memories flooding back.
It gets my vote!

I still drink it now although i think it is weaker than it used to be, Idris old jamaican is my fav but sainsburys is nice.

My cousin used to make it in great big stone pots and we had to feed it every day, sometimes it exploded and it would shattered these pots and they were 1" thick! Love the taste but the shop stuff is tasteless and oversweet, nothing like the real homebrew.
Never found out how to start a ginger beer plant as they were always on the go.....
