    Obscure 80s british movie name

A little boy finds a silver ball, its alive and runs amok, eating custard and theres a part where it eats a baguette from the inside out...

Later in the movie a space ship comes down and drops hundreds of these boody things.

Anyone remember the name of this?

nah phantasm was a US horror movie this was a kids film, it was about some orb that crash lands and releases a smaller shiny ball that winds up eating a families food, they think its mice and put down traps, the little boy discovers the ball and winds up taking it with him.

He runs into another kid whos hiding from some seedy shoplifter bloke, they become friends and figure out the balls an alien and that it needs recharging or something.

later on the mother ship arrives and unleashes millions of these balls.

It was back in the 80s or 70s around the same time as another movie about some kid with a panther T-shirt that gives him super powers.

Can remember vividly watching both of em (and others) as a kid, but cant for the life of me figure out what the hell either was called.

          OUTSTANDING!
Man that was mashing my sweede, i wound up browsing imdb sci fi movies chronologicaly from the 70s onwards.
Cheers for saving me another few hours of headache.

Another movie is about a boy who finds like an alien space ship in parts, one of the parts is in a swamp, the head i think, theres the body in some ruins i think. i dunno its all a little blurry, not seen it since i was a wee kid and googling "british kids movie robot alien in bits" understandably turns up nothing.

Well do you read whole thread again every time someone posts?
                          I dont for one.
Is there any need to call me a nob. Correct spelling is actually KNOB mate. I do love it when people try to make you out thick and then they cant even spell correctly!!
