                              the modern day safety elevator was invented by Elisha Otis in 1854, in America.
                              so don't you think it's us that wrongly call it a lift

                                                          Life (or Elevator) picture was maybe taken in china, japan or korean. Here the number 4 is considered unlucky as, when said, sounds alot like the word for death.
