Can anybody help me with a remote......

Hello i got a starview hd combo with lan but the remote control wont work on it,i dont know why nothing has been done to it,but its rottern,and the place i got the starview from have closed down.Telling me to use "the wizard" to get a new remote,and they tell me no,they have nothing to do with the old place...Great.Does anybody have any ideas like i can use putting a download on the set top box using the fromt panel or any way to help me out...cheers stev

point the remote at a digital camera and press a button on remote. if you can see a light coming from it on the LCD screen of your camera your remote is working. (new/tested batteries first)
