Virgin half price for 6 months

virgin will offer half price for six months as well as free installation. The website isn't updated yet, but have a read here for further info Six months half price broadband from Virgin Media
Looks as you should be able to get three services at ?9.50 for 6 months. You can still get cashback via quidco/topcashback for ?65. I think existing customers might be able to take advantage if they upgrade to tv xl, but not sure.

dont bother, they are shite atm.
Lag is unbelievable in online games and they have put in another fair use policy, that basically screws you if you have a hobby in newsgroups D.
They might be the fastest, but its like owning a ferrarri in an area full of speedbumps.

i have to disagree about being the fastest,,they claim to be the fastest but they all claim this,,depending on which tom dick and harry in your street are using up bandwidth then you can be severely limited on speed,,customer service is sh+te at the best of times,,and if you have a fault it takes at least 3 days to get an engineer out,,complain and they offer you a fiver compo, not a lot of use when you want to watch a game that night but the service is down,,
to sum it up they all spend millions on pr and advertising to get your hard earned cash every month,,they all have pros and cons as has been stated on dk many times
dont be fooled by half price deals because once finished they will get there money out of you in oneway or another
personally i have v/media bundle,,im not overly impressed but ill be damned if im giving 1p of my hard earned cash to that total arse++le murdoc+

hmmmm they havnt informed its customers that line rental is going up 25p, its not much i know but they could do this a few times a year and who would notice a 25p rise ? plus they making you sign a 18 month contract according to that site.

I really would have a good read over here Virgin Media Internet Service - Cable Forum

it seems I am not alone in my opinions of Vermin.
They used to have decent speeds, now with their new traffic management, they are giving you the chocolate fireguard effect.

VM get a hard time, people really get pi55ed of with them, most of the complainants have a bee in their bonnet as now they cant rip them off for Free TV anymore..

Fibre Optic Broadband is the best, that is a fact..

If you have a hobby in newsgroups then download in quiet hours, i set mine up to download between midnight and 6am, never had a problem

I've been with VM for 4 years now, I'd never go back to Broadband over the shite BT network

I concur, although I cannot enjoy their services personally (no feed to my home), I do think they're a reasonable company as they allow the use of their modems for nothing and the ability to share their new smartcards for next to f*** all

You can't say fairer than that

Talk Talk are complete crap ! , from the broadband they provide down to customer support.
Iv'e just been given 2months free line rental , after being dissconnected for over 2 weeks ! .
The gobshites have now just increased , call charges , line rental and an extra ?1 pm , if you don't pay by direct debit .
This is only 3 months into an 18mth contract !!

VM's traffic management may suck ass, but at least you still get a reasonable connection speed when you've hit the cap.

It certainly beats BT's feeble offer where you pay for 'upto 8Mb' speeds, but only get between 1-2Mb....on a good day.

A friend has lived out in the sticks where BT got him just over 1Mb connection speeds. Then he moved into the uk's biggest private housing estate (I think it's still the biggest). Now he gets a whopping 2Mb, if he was at home & not at work, by the time he gets home he's lucky to get a stable connection at 500Kb speeds. After 10pm it picks back up at bit.
He would love to get a VM connection, but there's no supply in his area.
