Hi,

I have 50mb from Virgin and was wondering if you can make it faster by messing with the firmware and if so is there any help on how to do it ?

why would you need to make it faster, if your pages arent loading quick its more a pc problem then your broadband, do a sppedtest see what your getting!

At the moment in the uk, i have not met anything that has needed to be better than 50mb virgin speed. Please share with us all what it is that you need to be faster?

Virgin are rolling out 100mb from December in certain areas. Yorkshire area for some reason is one of them.
It will benefit multiple pc users who are in the same home who can all download/stream without slowdown.
I've heard that 400 mb will be here by 2012/13. That will be about 2 minutes to download an HD film. It's going to be quicker to download a film than turning your TV channel over soon.

The reason why I want to go faster cos if you can wouldnt ya? I get 6.2 mb/s but I want more upload more really thats all

50mb download speed will get you about 5mb upload, thats all your gonna get for now.

if virgin see ure downloading faster than 50mb they will come out and move u down the box so ur d/l speed slows

Cause downloading a 56gb image takes an age no matter how fast your connection is
