I had the same problem but found that clearing the cache was not enough.IE8
Tools--->Internet Options--->Advanced---->Reset
Seems to have fixed it, but i still think that the site might still have a problem cause i have experienced the OOOPS banner & some time outsComment

Why come to the conclusion that the sites been hacked?
Here goes...
Trying a new opcode cacher to cache popular database queries, templates, php, etc. Then queries won't be made by every member on every page, it's just pulled from cache. But the cacher needed fcgi configured in apache so had to do a rebuild, then it fcuked up and lost some settings so had to wait til finished work to fix it, that's why we were down on Monday. Now, fcgi spawns multiple instances of php and not sure if the cache is shared with each session so each php session adds load to the server.
So, as I said, no reason to suspect a hack (it annoys me to even write the word
) just all server tweaking and trial and error. If it doesn't work out, I'll revert and go back to what worked before. Or maybe try something else hehe.
If you are getting a download box instead of the site, refresh your browser cache, reset it, etc etc and you will be fine.Comment

WOW never realised DK was so complex, so we have an Apache - helicopter - or Indain Tribe?Trying a new opcode cacher to cache popular database queries, templates, php, etc. Then queries won't be made by every member on every page, it's just pulled from cache. I didn't say the site had been hacked. A number of members had mentioned site hacking in this thread. I had also been asked bye a couple of members about the possibility of the server which DK was hosted on being attacked bye the same software that the wikileak protestors were using.. as we know a number of major websites have been affected bye this which affects the server load.
Thanks for clearing that up DF it will save people making up their own stories.

I also thought that the site had been hacked on either Saturday or Sunday (can't remember exactly) I thought it was something to do with wikileaks. And I Pm'ed Dreamer to ask if it was a hack. The reason being was because of what I saw and read when I tried to access DW from my PC on all browsers. " You Twat" in the address BarLast edited by allycoops; 15 December, 2010, 11:44.
