This is an entirely new company, who have only licensed the name and logo.

    It's NOT Commodore.

I think Oposmonkey is referring to the poor colour handling of the Spectrum range. The colours would mix when sprites moved past each other, it looked terrible compared to the C64.

Still a great machine, even if I was firmly planted in Team Commodore at the time.

Current fanboyism pales in comparison to the speccy/commodore zealots.

Back when men where men and sheep where nervous.

Kids today with their cod and such have no idea how easy they have it, not having to wait 20 mins of screeching loading only to find that the tape you had copied didn't have the equalizer set correctly. Too much bass at the end causing the whole loading time to be for nowt as it dumps you back to the home screen.

Tape loading used to make me rage hard.

Not as bad though as spending hours loading a ZX81 program line by line from a magazine, only to find you've misread a character somewhere.

please tell me others felt the pain of this game
              several tapes to be loaded

you would wait 30mins-45mins to load it up ...fail to take off and have to wait a futher 15mins to get back to the menu and a futher 30-45mins for the whole thing to load back up

please tell me someone else felt my pain

I'm going misty eyed listening to that.

Then who can forget Xenon II, if only for the intro music....

How many rip-off space craft can you see in this intro. I've pegged X-Wing & Y-Wing fighters, Klingon Birds of Prey, A Battlestar, Vipers & at least 2 transport ships from Battlestar Galactica...

Oh shit!!...... I'll go & get my anorak & leave....

Had 2 go down because of not being switched off properly. My kids would just unplug it from the wall, without turning off. So I replaced the memory myself putting sockets in first. Then when the kids got older gave it to my 80 year old mum. She loved it. Worked it better than me.
Still got games now. Got the emulator and the new emulator (computerbrains.com). I still have the lead I made to use the floppy disk and tape from an LPT printer port on PC. Worked BRILL. My wife likes the Patience more than PC and a game called Grider.
My brother wrote programs for it and I actually wrote one to format the floppy disks easier.
