you will pay a hell of a lot more if you go to maplin / B&Q

    or anywhere like that

if you order from scan NOW you will get it tomorrow.
I've used scan a few times and always got good quick service, can recommend them.

cheers for the replys peeps, i got a 35mtr one at a little pooter shop near toon, ?15 sound that i thought, ran it from pooter in spare room, up the wall into attic then out under last tile next to gutter, down outside wall to an air vent near the dpc course, in thru that, then up round the patio doors, across about 18 inch skirting straight to telly ethernet port, where it comes in thru the air vent into the house that part of the cable will be under the laminate floor after crimbo when i lay it.

Was you a Womble in a former life, over ground, under ground wombing free?

If had known what you are/were doing would have suggested:-

downloading from Maplin 2x 'sockets' RJ45 (think) eithernet ones, then find a hole on the end of a drill, drop in cavity, or do an an Emien - the rap star, go 'round outside, round the outside', then find another hole in wall on end of drill, another socket, just use patch leads to link in.
                ,
RJ45 Modular Wall Outlets : Modular Wall Accessories : Maplin

That way you don't have this wire peeping up through the fllor boards, but a nice socket to plug into!
