    Postman Christmas Tip?

    Right heres the thing....

Had the same posty for the year now and he's been great.
Always leaves parcels in safe place when im not in.
Even leaves recorded mail which is ideal as it can be aa 2-3 day wait to collect again.

How much should i tip him?

Does anyone else here tip theyre posty?

thats a coincidence,i just tipped mine a tenner today,,hes excellent though,,rain or shine or even heavy snow, hes always out on the round, makes sure any signed for items always left with a neighbour etc etc,,well worth a tenner a year in my opinion

A good postman has got to be worth a tenner at Christmas.
Ours signs for registered letters and puts parcels in the shed and then locks it.
                  At Christmas it's a ?10 well spent

                      NO

The amount of mail that goes through the wrong doors in our area is shameful to decent posties so ours is getting naff all.

Do you live in Meat-City as well?

Here's a tip for ALL of the postal service here in Meat-City.

If you leave the gate unlocked, once more, and push junk mail, with no letters again, you are going to be walking with a limp.

Oh when/if that parcel from another member posted that still HAS NOT
turned up, you better make sure i'm out - otherwise your going to get a punch on the hooter for fobbing me off the other day when pinned you up the wall and mentioned it to you.

                        Meaty.

Ok.So it's the Postman. So what about the refuseman and the milkman and the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker. Where does it end?

A good postie is worth his weight in gold, ours is great he battles on through all conditions and he could quite easily say "~~~~ it" some times, but never does, I agree some of the ~~~~ers are useless and the agency ones are not worth a toss, we dread it when our postie goes on his hols, if you have got a good one it doesn't hurt to give him a tip and it will greatly be appreciated and he won't forget you in any future problems...

Binmen get nearly double the minimum wage.
Milkmen are self employed and the lads get good tips on a weekly basis.
The butcher and the baker always make good money as your paying premium.

The binmen only lift you bin once a week if its not overfilled.
The milkmen only work a few hours a morning.
The butcher and baker work inside. UNless they do a van in which case they make even more money as the prices are even more increased.

PS dont know what a candlestickmaker makes.

The postman howerever is on low income walks miles a day. Hauls heavy bags about and in all weathers 6 days a week.

I think he deserves a Tip once a year.
