I'll see you all at the gym in January, then I'll never see you again 2 or 3 weeks later.

i am already thinking foreward, and i was thinking about the New Year already, so i have decided to get myself in shape once and for all.

I will be cutting right down on the drink, and i will be getting back into cooking ( but sensible cooking ) so no doubt you will see some new recipe`s coming soon.

I am getting close to half a century, and about 3 stone over the top, and so many people i have heard of lately having major health problems , so this is the time to do something.

i know i can do it , as 3 years ago i decided to stop smoking and i have not had one since..
Good luck m8 i give the fags up a while back even though i have a sneaky one i find the shape thing a bit harder though after being in pretty decent shape most of my life and eating whatever i wanted i did balloon a bit after i wasnt to well a couple of years back

and i am still finding me kite a bit hard too shift even after starting running dieting and then the gym its frustrating because its so easy now to put it on but i determined that by may time next year my body will bw back like Ronaldo's once more

I personaly did feel any better health wise when I packed up smoking, and as I wanted to pack up I did not put much weight on aswell. But certainly my wallet felt a whole load better......

Good luck mate.. fresh meat and veg is way cheaper than all that processed Iceland shite anyway... you'll soon be feeling healthier again with some exercise thrown in.. dont smash your body too hard at first.. gradual incline is easier to maintain
I completely agree with the sentiment that if you want something then go and get it. but your hardly a financial elite, do you think its justified that you get taxed rotten only to see those self same taxes get paid out as bonuses to fat ~~~~ bankers? Why should we have to pay to keep them in the exorbitant lifestyle which they've become accustomed when we're told we don't have enough funding for basic essentials like gritted roads? a decent free education for our kids and the like?

Well, got off to a good start yesterday!!
I'll be off the ciggies for 2 years at the end of Feb, but haven't made any effort about the weight that i have gained, so in my ignorance yesterday morning I joined the crew from the local cycling club and went off and cycled 70kms in under 3 hours!!!
Must state that I really enjoyed the spin and the chat!!

Needless to say , i'm walking like a crab today but very proud of what i got through, so Wednesday morning come hell or high water I'm going to attack it again and aim to go least twice a week!!
No good having a nice racing bike in the garden shed as an ornament!!!
                Whatever!!
