    parking ticket not issued.

    quick story hopefully!!
i was parked outside a shop picking up some strongbow for the evening and, fair enough i was on double yellow lines. anyway i come out of the shop and see one of those traffic warden folk getting off his moped with his ticket book in hand. so i do the decent thing get in the car and drive off!! my question is should i expect a fine dropping on my door matt or because i was not either handed a ticket or had one stuck on my car because the warden didnt have time am i in the clear?
    cheers

No you should be OK the usual rule of thumb is that they write the ticket stick it on your windscreen and then take a picture with a digital camera stating the date and time on the picture, the b*stards .....chuck

Those traffic wardens haven?t even got the motor bike full driving licence, they keep driving them with L plates, and they are very nasty, they are programmed to write tickets only and I have seen them writing tickets at midnight in some places in Manchester.

By law a driver has to be notified of a traffic offence within 14 days so keep your eye on the doormat.

Correct, however they only have to prove a contravention took place in order to issue you a ticket, so in theory they would need to have taken 2 pictures at different times i.e. a minute or 2 apart or have CCTV footage of you having parked there. The likelyhood of having taken 2 snaps before issuing the ticket is very low as they'd want to get the ticket issued as quick as possible. If they have you on CCTV though they can still send the ticket through the post.

if you get a ticket with a picture from a camera not a cctv tell them you will countersue as he can't be in control of his bike to take said picture as he was still pulling up as you drove off, do what some of those ~~~~ers do LIE!
