Tesco, the UK?s leading retailer, has entered into the car tyre market in a deal with Blackcircles.com.
The supermarket, which also has Tesco Phone Shop, Tesco Bank and the Tesco Compare insurance service, is continuing to branch further afield from groceries with Tesco-tyres.com.
And it's making big noises, too. In fact, the homepage of the website claims up to 40% savings on high-street tyre prices, taking the fight to the likes of Kwik Fit and National Tyres.

As part of the announcement, Tesco has said it will ?offer UK motorists the best-priced, fully fitted tyres, exclusively from Blackcircles.com with significant savings compared to the high street?.
Tesco-tyres.com offers a full fitting service
Using an extremely similar platform as the Blackcircles.com site, you can enter the required size to find the right tyre and choose which of the 1,200 UK-wide garages you wish to use to have them fitted.
And it appears Tesco wants to undercut the competition, offering one of the cheapest services available.
Blackcircles.com founder, and formerly a member of Tesco staff as a teenager, Mike Welch, said: ?This launch marks one of the UK?s biggest motoring ventures of the last 10 years.
