Unless you sit or stand on an OLED screen it should survive most casual drops & mishaps. But they still have issues with viewing in direct sunlight. The only screen I'm aware of that doesn't have this problem is on the kindle.
My S2 is in a pouch & always kept in my trouser pocket, screen into my leg. Done this with all my phones, never broken a screen yet.

A bucket of motor oil is one of the safest liquids to drop a phone in. It's thick so doesn't flow into speakers as quick & as it's non conductive it doesn't short out circuits.

Nokia will never support android. They have a deal with microsoft for Windows 7 & 8, so expect to see more of them around. Nokia like their Symbian o/s. It went open source a year or so ago, not sure if it's really going to help them.

Sales release date is 29th May. But will probable take longer for network locked phones.
Take my advice, upgrade through an independent shop. You will get the SIM free version that's released the way Samsung wanted it.
If you can hold off for a month or so there will be a better version released to all users. Voda have a 1 month exclusive on the 32GB version with 2GB of system memory. That's the one you want... So wait for that month to end then pick one up SIM free.

        NO PROBLEM

Whilst your there, i should really be pointing this question at Justy22

That HTC Touch you repired For me, thanks.

The life timer is now on zero (1 min 20) yet - it was before you unlocked it
        showing 40 ish hours.

Is this timer now correct as i've not used it, or IN-correct as it's a pre-enjoyed phone.?

I'll se if can ask Justy22 this as well..

        THANKS

It was reset during the unlock process. This wipes all counters.

Just sent you a PM about the other one.

The HTC One V is a lower spec release. If you can believe it, it only has a single core processor!!! The One X & the Samsung Galaxy S3 are both quad core.

Dre Beats is a waste of time. You only get the benefit if you're willing to part with a large amount of money for Dre Beats headphones... It doesn't come with compatable headphones that will allow you to hear the Dre Beats dribble.

A little maths..... Phone (SIM free) ?230, Cheapest official Dre Beats headphones ?130.
That's ?360 for a lower midrange Android phone.... Are you serious?!
You can pick up an S2 for less than that. Hell, an Ishite is better value!!

i could buy the phone for e29.99 and bill pay e30 a month on 18 month contract, most of all to be able to read the screen help for texts or the internet, dont want to go overboard on a phone in case something happens.
