    playing movies on tv

Hi all, i want to be able to play films downloaded on my tv without converting them as this takes to long. I got told of a device i think it was on maplins or something where you can drag and drop onto it and then just plug into tv and play. Any help would be great.

if ya have a laptop ya can connect it to the tv by a hdmi cable if the laptop is hdmi or by a vga cable i think its called

or ya can buy a media player with a hard drive and store everything from your computer on it and connect it to the tv
there a lot more expensive than the cables i mentioned though

Thanks for your reply. I'm sure there's a single device that does it which would make it even cheaper and less hardware to use. If i can't find it this option will do though, thanks again.

Doesn't look as if it does mkv files though.

Here's a smaller option Sumvision Cyclone, if you're willing to bid for one you might get it cheaper.

It might not support MKV or any MP4 formats & only upscales video to 720p. But it's stupidly small & works great with any USB storage device.
