Talksport without Mike Parry R.I.P.

BROADCASTER Mike Parry has revealed he quit his job with TalkSport just days before two disgraced Sky Sports presenters were given his daily radio slot.

Andy Gray and Richard Keys have been signed to present the flagship daytime show on the radio station.
From next Monday they will fill the 10am to 1pm slot occupied until last week by Mr Parry, who lives in Gosport.
But the former News columnist, a life-long Everton fan, said he could not think of anyone better than ?my old mate and Everton centre forward? Gray to fill his shoes.
Mr Parry said: ?Andy gets my blessing. He?s one of my footballing heroes and I?m delighted he?s going to be doing the job that I can no longer do.?
Mr Parry said he quit the station last Thursday. ?It was over a contractual dispute which has been dragging on since last summer after the World Cup,? he said.
?I?ve had lots of job offers which I?m considering. I?d be mad to quit a job like that and not have something else in the pipeline wouldn?t I?? he added.
TalkSport moved for Gray and Keys two weeks after they were engulfed in a sexism storm which began after they made disparaging off-air comments about a female referee?s assistant.

well im sad to see the two mikes go they always gave me a good laugh, but keys and gray seems to be quiet good too so far and perhaps it was time for parry to go as hes been on talksport for donkeys years.

are you having a laugh johnboy!!!! i've listened to those 2 for 3 days now and my insomnia is nearly cured!!! it's the worst show on the station now bar far. keys is up his own arse, all the talk about is the same things that alan brazil has just covered for 3 hours only in a less entertaining way. pure shite in my view, 3 days and interestingly not 1 female caller has been on the show, in fact they didnt take 1 call on monday despite still getting people to call in. at least parry and graham had some life in their voices even if they always did argue it was a bit of variation from what is in effect now talk(repeat)football stories from 6 till 1 when h+j come on and talk football in a more entertaining way!!

Agree with the last two post.

I think it's disgraceful how Talk Sport have treated Parry. Love him or hate him he was always good value and brought laughter to the station.

It's been toture listening to them two this week, I actually felt sorry for them at one stage. Then I thought about what coonts they were and how much they are being paid to talk utter pish!
